About
A Boston musician that explores various fields like Classical and Jazz with different instruments, Tuan believes in the idea that being a jack of trades will help bridge distant ideologies. To him, you can not have an eclipse without the sun and moon, two
objects that usually have opposing sides in history and culture.

The idea sprouted when his eyes shone with light as he started to practice in high school. His interest was not yet cultivated, but with time, he started to realize that there are bridges, or could be bridges that connect the different ideas together. His hands were conservative at first, touching the viola, composing but never showing, but soon he reached out into different fields, some academic like math and finances, some artistic like dance and visuals.
Combining both traditional techniques and distant ideas, he is not afraid to explore. If there’s a distance, a bridge can be built.
Artist Statement
When one looks at trees and rocks, no alikeness comes to mind. When connected to different ideas, lines appear. Western Classical music is my main interest yet it is possible to connect the knowledge of other genres and web them together to ascend my current understanding of topics. It is my mission to find ideas, to connect them and lastly, to relate to them.
Teaching Statement
In music, everyone’s perspective on music is different. One person may view a song as sad, angry, sorrowful, or even happy. That is why my goal in teaching is to try to incorporate as many ideas and perspectives into students as possible. One student may learn faster via one method, while other students excel via other methods.
